Art Licensing

In late 2019, I showed my series of 100 paintings to a friend who recommended that I consider doing some licensing work. She said that kitchen art (such as fruits and vegetables) are sellable content for housewares in general. She saw something special and authentic in my paintings of food. So I started on a journey of creating concepts for my own collection of kitchen and housewares, and started to envision a LookBook.

There have been so many stages in this process! I will be posting about several of the developments.

These four images were chosen for development in the collection. I looked at ways to use them on plates, platters, fabrics and other means. I developed line art for each of them, and wrote copy for different concepts. I created fabric patterns and colorways, stripes, dots, scatter patterns and plaids.

These line art drawings are used in patterns for fabric and backgrounds of imagery for papergoods.

The pattern below incorporates some French descriptions and typographic elements with the line art illustrations.
